Climate
Boquete is just 8 degrees above the Equator. So our temperature, year ’round, never varies more than a few degrees. Along both coasts and the beaches, the temperature runs 28 to 30 Celcius during the hottest part of the day.Year-’round, there is more humidity on the Caribbean side. But, here, at 1,000 meters, in the mountains of the Cordillero, you can pleasure in cooler daytime highs, rarely more than 25 degrees, and with fresh, cooling breezes, among the cleanest air in the world!
December to April features the ‘dry’ season, with little rain, The ‘green’ season sees an increasing amount of rain, with September and October usually experiencing the heaviest concentration. However, even in the ‘green’ season, most mornings break bright, with sunshine.
Throughout the year, the Caribbean side receives considerably more rain than the Pacific side of the Continental Divide, some 1,000 cm. more!

Beaches

Biodiversity
If your not easily bugged, then you will enjoy seeing and exploring a country that contains more varieties of insects than any other place in North, South, or Central America! An entimologist’s delight.
Panama’s Audobon Society can tell you more, but here in Chiriqui province, you can invest hours exploring and enjoying an extensive variety of bird-life too. Consider the quetzale.Think on the tucan. Butterflies abound. You’ll find them all.. Some within meters of your cabin. Others just kilometers from Momentum.
A point of interest; 65% of Panama remains forested. That wasn’t always so. Reforestation is being taken seriously here.

Entertainment
Panama’s nightlife goes all night! Pay a cover charge and most times drinks are included. Distinctive Tipico music, flavored by accordion, will surely move you. But get some rest, because things really don’t start moving until after midnight.
Live theater isn’t big yet, but first run movies are. See a different movie each night for a fraction of the price back home. Four television stations and a multitude of FM stations ensure that you are never far from being informed or entertained. Internet cafes abound, offering quick connections to friends and family.
Around Boquete, a variety of outdoor, nature-oriented options exist. Among them whitewater rafting, hiking, bicycling, horseback riding and butterfly and bird-watching. As well, personal, trained guides are available for excursions into the hills around us.

Cost
The most expensive part of your vacation, in all likelihood, will be getting here. Except for airport taxis, most all cab rides are $1.The bus fare from Panama City to David, where we will meet you, is $15. Or cover the same distance in 50 minutes, by air, for $55.
The cost of food is the same as at home, or less! Enjoy a full plate of local chicken and rice for $2.50. Spend $3 and see a current run movie! Go dancing! Drinks come in at around $1! Or, pay a cover and drink all night for free!
