Directions
Boquete, in Chiriqui province, is set amongst the coffee and flower covered hills and mountains of western Panama. At a comfortable 1,200 meters altitude, we are 450 km. west of Panama City (PTY), and 400 km. south of San Jose, Costa Rica.
Boquete is accessed through the city of David, Chiriqui (pop. 110,000). Drive. Or fly; or take an air-conditioned coach to David, where WILL MEET YOU (unless you drive), for the 1/2 hour transfer to Momentum.
FLY FROM PTY: Both Mapiex and Aeroperlas fly from Marcos Gelebert airport, in Panama City, to David. The 50-minute flight costs $55 one way. Our van WILL MEET YOU at the airport terminal for transfer to Momentum.
BUS FROM PTY: Two companies, Padafront, and Terminales de David, operate new, air-conditioned deluxe coaches hourly to David. They depart from the main terminal at Albrook (in Panama City). The ride is 7 hours. The cost is $15 per person. Our van WILL MEET YOU at the bus terminal for transfer to Momentum.
FLY FROM SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA: Unfortunately, flights no longer operate between San Jose and David.
BUS FROM SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA: Tracopa operates one bus daily direct to David, Panama. Leave the Coca Cola bus terminal in San Jose at 6:30 a.m. (Costa Rica time). Arrive the main bus terminal in David at 5:30 p.m. (Panama time). Cost is $12.50 U.S. per person. Our van WILL MEET YOU at the bus terminal for transfer to Momentum.
Tracopa also operates a number of other buses as far as the Costa Rica – Panama border. From there, consider taking a local bus, in comfort, on to David. This is often the faster way. Our van WILL MEET YOU at the bus terminal for transfer to Momentum.
DRIVING: Upon reaching David on the Interamerican Highway, watch for the signs directing you north toward Boquete. After driving through Dolega, the road curves to the right on to Boquete. Ten minutes after Dolega, drive past the intersection that turns right to Caldera. You now are just 3 km. from the left turn-off into Momentum.
